I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Technology at California State University - Fresno, CA. Prior to this, I was working as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez, PR.
I am interested the different modeling frameworks like Petri Nets, and Disjunctive Graphs and the various heuristic techniques like Genetic Algorithm, Simulated Annealing and Neural Networks that are in existence for flexible manufacturing systems in general.
Another area that intrigues me is cost estimation techniques for production systems and the various aspects that impact the cost estimation process. Also, lately, I have begun to take renewed interest in lean manufacturing principles. I have also begun to explore the area of Mass Customization and its applications.
My current curriculum-vitae in HTML format can be found here here.
