Brad Hufft (1957-)
Biography

Brad with guitar

Brad Hufft is a lecturer in music history and theory at California State University, Fresno. He is active as a composer in Central California and also teaches guitar, piano, music theory, and composition privately. He and his wife, Jill, are the most of the time proud parents of two children, Cole, 18, and Ellen, 14.
Brad has a M.A. in music theory and composition from CSUF, where he studied with Jack Fortner, James Winter, and Robert Gerster. He was also active for many years in the rock music arena as a performer, producer, and manager. During this time, he released two albums with his group, Dangerous Ground. Tragically, this involvement in the entertainment business, led him, along with Jill and their business partner, Danny Booras, to open a restaurant. So foolish and misguided was this venture that they followed the only logical course available to them, they opened a second location.  After many trials and tribulations, the restaurants were finally sold in late 2000, freeing Brad up to return to teaching.
