Dr. Cui Lin is currently
a
tenure-track assistant professor in
the Department of Computer Science at
California State University, Fresno,
the director of Keck Computational
Science Center. She received her Ph.D. in computer science from Wayne State University in 2010. Dr. Lin was an IBM certified DB2
Database Expert, and she worked for IBM (IBM
Global Services) as the system
analyst and project manager after she received her B.E. in
Computer Science from Beijing Information Science and Technology
University. Her research interests
focus on the management of scientific workflows
on service-oriented Cloud computing environment,
and the development of data and compute intensive
scientific applications. She has published many refereed
international conference papers and journals,
including IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC)
and IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine (TITB). She currently serves on the Program Committee of the IEEE International Workshop on Scientific Workflows
(SWF), IEEE International Conference on Service Oriented
Computing & Applications (SOCA),
and the Co-chair of the International
Workshop on Workflow Models, Systems, Services and Applications in the
Cloud (CloudFlow).
Dr. Lin is now leading new computing efforts to build up
the ATLAS Tier-3 Cloud in Fresno State(108 cores, 45TB cloud
storage), in addition to ATLAS Tier-3 Cluster (136
job slots, 108TB raw storage)
for
CSU
ATLAS
Program, and collaborating with
the
Lawrence Berkley Lab, Brookhaven National Lab, Nanjing University (NJU),
University of Electronic and Science Technology of China (UESTC)
and other institutions for the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron
Collider (LHC) of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)
near Geneva, Switzerland.
She is a member of IEEE. |
