Photography by Dr. David Zellmer
Dr. Zellmer has been taking photographs since his high school days. Before digital photography he maintained a home darkroom and processed his own black and white and color film and prints.
His first digital camera was a Casio that had a resolution of 640x480. He used this to make photographs of instruments in his instrumental analysis lab, and the first stages of the Downing Planetarium. He then moved up to a 1.2 MP Kodak camera for the rest of the Downing Planetarium construction, and currently uses a 10.7 MP Sony R-1.
Most of the images found in the College of Science and Mathematics web site were taken by Dr. Zellmer.
