  Buxton, England, August 1999
I am an assistant professor of Mathematics at California State University, Fresno.
I received my B.A. in Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994. I obtained my Master's degree in 1998 and my Ph.D. in August 2003, both in Mathematics, from the University of Oregon. My current research interests lie in the area of low-dimensional algebraic topology.
In my free time (ha ha) I like singing, acting, and the outdoors. I sang with Fresno Choral Artists for five years, two as an alto and three as a soprano. Currently I sing with Soli Deo Gloria as a second soprano. I am an avid Gilbert and Sullivan fan and have performed principal roles at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Buxton, England. Most recently I performed the role of Constance in the SavoyNet production of The Sorcerer on August 9, 2002. (Being a mother is very time-consuming!) I am hoping to return to the Festival this summer.
To see some photos of me in various productions, as well as pictures from my thesis defense and some of my favorite shots of my 3-year-old son, Cameron, click here.
