Bernadette Franco I) Introduction 1) I am going to show the class a picture of my family and I that was taken last Christmas. 2) Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. 3) I love Christmas because it is a time when my entire family gets together, it's a day that we follow certain traditions and it is a day to celebrate and party. 4) How many of you spend the holidays with your family? II) Body 1) Christmas is a day when my entire family spends the evening together. A) My dad has five sister and three brothers. B) I have thirty-one first cousins and there are twelve nieces and nephews. C) There are also my cousins wife's, husbands and family friends that celebrate the holidays with us. 2) There are certain traditions that my family follows each year. A) My family is so large that we have our Christmas dinner at Round Table Pizza. B) Before anyone can eat we must wait until everyone one arrives and we all gather in a huge circle and say a prayer. C) My uncle dresses up as Santa Clause a midnight and begins to hand out presents. 3) Christmas is also a day that we celebrate until late and get drunk. A) At our Christmas dinner there is always one person who has too much to drink and has to be taken home early. B) Everyone has such a great time that no one wants to go home, we stay up until your body just can not handle it anymore. III) Conclusion 1) As you can see I have many reasons to love Christmas. Especially because it brings my family together and because we follow the same traditions each year. Not to mention the party we have after. 2) So the next time you walk into Round Table just think that this is were some crazy family actually spends their holidays. |
