The First International Workshop on Pervasive Computing Systems and Infrastructures (PCSI)
Held in conjunction with TridentCom 2009
Washington DC, USA, April 2009

Message from Chairs

Welcome to PCSI 2009, The First International Workshop on Pervasive Computing Systems and Infrastructures, to be held in conjunction with TridentCom 2009 in Washington DC, USA, April 2009!

Pervasive Computing (or Ubiquitous Computing) is an information model that enables data to be accessed and processed anytime and anywhere. Wide deployment of pervasive computing systems highly depends on successful real implementation of such systems and infrastructures with extensive experimental studies. Therefore, the theme of PCSI workshop is of significant importance and has attracted increasing attentions by the research community in recent years.

The Technical Program Committee has carefully reviewed all submitted papers and accepted eight full regular papers, including one invited paper. All papers are assigned two or three reviews for consistent acceptance decisions. We would like to thank all TPC members and reviewers for their great efforts on providing timely and quality review comments.

We would like to thank Dr. Victor Leung, Dr. B. Prabhakaran, and Dr. Yang Xiao for their insights and guidance on the conference organization. We will invite outstanding accepted papers for possible publication in a special issue of International Journal of Sensor Networks (IJSNet).

Finally, we appreciate the great contribution from all authors and enthusiastically anticipate that you attend PCSI workshop and work along with us to enjoy and promote the great event!

Sincerely,

TPC Co-chairs
