The Need For Environmental Health Professionals Is Great!

Today's students are the work force of tomorrow.  They will have to solve the health problems associated with air and water pollution, food protection, hazardous chemicals, and many other risks of a growing global population.  Environmental Health Professionals are responsible for protecting the publicís health from varied and sometimes growing environmental hazards.

Controllable public health concerns are the focus of a career in environmental health, industrial hygiene or occupational safety, but there is a severe shortage of skilled individuals ready to fill the job vacancies.  For this reason, the profession invites students to consider a rewarding and fulfilling career in the fields of environmental and occupational health.  Job opportunities span public agencies at the federal, state, and local level, and also abound in private industry.
