Work Experience

Instruction and Outreach Services Librarian California
State University, Fresno, CA
Duties: Participate in all aspects of the Library’s information
literacy program, such as presenting general and course-related instruction,
drop-in workshops and orientations.
Work collaboratively with the Head of Instruction and
Outreach Services, librarians and faculty to develop student information
literacy skills.
Incorporate existing and emerging technologies (i.e.,
social networking tools and course management software) into the Library's
information literacy program as appropriate.
Assist in the design and development of online
instructional materials that teach students, faculty and staff to become
information literate.
Collaborate and network with university programs and
organizations, i.e., International Student Services, EOP and Migrant Education to
promote information literacy and library services.
Manage the Library’s Multicultural Program which exists to
advance the goals and mission of the Library by providing services and programs
that enhance and support cultural diversity.
Serve as liaison to the Women's Studies Program and Ethnic
Studies Departments, i.e., Chicano, African-American, etc.
Participate in collection development by selecting print,
electronic, and other collection resources for assigned academic disciplines.

Liaison to the Women's Studies Program, American English Institute, the
English and History departments.
